Griner agrees to a one-year contract with the Atlanta Dream

Atlanta, Georgia – After spending 11 years with the Phoenix Mercury, Brittney Griner is making a change to dream big in Atlanta. The 6’9 (206 cm) and 87.5 in (222 cm) wingspan of a center announced her plans Tuesday night to join the Dream.

ESPN’s Alexa Philippou was the first to break the news with the Twitter posting, “ESPN story on Brittney Griner signing with the Atlanta Dream, the end of an era for the Phoenix Mercury and the biggest free agency signing in Dream history,”
