Georgia appeals decides Fulton County DA is not qualified to continue with the prosecution of Trump
The courts’ 2-1 decision that DA Fani Willis’ romantic relationship with the special prosecutor was a conflict of interest
Atlanta, Georgia – Two of the three Georgia appeals court judges, Trenton Brown and Todd Markle, agreed that Fani Willis’ romantic relationship with special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, was a conflict of interest. While the third judge, Benjamin Landis, felt totally different by sharing that Trump’s team didn’t prove that Willis benefited from her relationship with Wade, there was a conflict of interest, and their partnership had an impact on the case.
Trump is reported to have celebrated the decision and told Fox News, “everybody should receive an apology, including those wonderful patriots who have been caught up in this for years.”
Willis and her team are planning to appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court.
