Pope Francis was known for his ability to reach out and embrace others
Vatican City – Jorge Mario Bergoglio became known as the first Latin American who had become head of the Roman Catholic Church in 2013.
Known as Pope Francis, Bergoglio became a popular figure with his ability to love and embrace everyone he ever came across. Bergoglio was the second Pope in just 10 short years after the death of Pope John Paul II occurred in 2005. Pope John Paul II was replaced by Pope Benedict XVI who would later resign in 2013 and allowing Pope Francis to take over.
