Xfinity Mobile Consistently Ranks Faster Than Competitors Across the South

As the world becomes more and more reliant on the internet and its available resources. The need to access these resources and information quickly is needed more than ever before.

Today, the internet is used for more than just surfing; it is also used to stream movies and television, play video games, make calls, and more. The need for sufficient speed to handle such options on the internet is an everyday essential not only for businesses but for today’s regular households as well.

Xfinity is pushing the envelope by increasing its internet speeds 150 percent faster through a new feature that is accessible to all customers. Launched in 2024, Xfinity Mobile’s PowerBoost delivers 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) over WiFi at home or at millions of WiFi hotspots across the country.

Ookla Speedtest shows that Xfinity Mobile is faster than any of its competitors across the South. “Xfinity Mobile combines its WiFi network resources, 5G capabilities, and PowerBoost technology to enhance the
connectivity experience for its customers,” said Kerry Baker, Industry Analyst, Ookla. “The integration of these technologies reflects the ongoing industry focus on creating better solutions for evolving user demands.”

“Our powerful and robust network is empowering customers across our nine-state region to stay connected everywhere,” shared Mike McArdle, regional senior vice president, Comcast Big South Region. “Our fast and reliable Internet ensures that residents from the Gulf to the Atlantic Coast are online, and this recognition underscores our commitment to delivering best-in-class service and innovation to communities throughout the South.”
