Is Elon Musk’s politics hurting Tesla?

Since going to Washington and being a part of Trump’s new administration. ABC News is reporting that Tesla has lost a market value of $700 billion dollars and its own personal net worth has lost $148 billion.

Shareholders of Tesla are questioning Musk’s ability to lead the company as he digs deeper into politics. Is Elon Musk’s politics hurting Tesla? Barstool Sports founder and Republican supporter, Dave Portnoy, is Tesla shareholder and wants to know what has Musk done to help Tesla. On February 27th, Portnoy released the following tweet on “X:”

“If I’m gonna be fair these questions needs to be asked today. Why is the release of the Epstein list always a shit show? What’s the point of booting out illegals and criminals while somehow becoming a safe haven for the Tate brothers? Why is Crypto in the toilet if Trump is crypto king? How far does Tsla stock have to crash before Elon goes back to work?”

Benzinga is reporting that Tesla has seen a drop of 50% in new car registration in the European Union during the month of January. As of the time of the posting of this article, Tesla’s stock was at $229.73, one month ago on January 11th stock for Tesla was at $328.50
