Department of Human and Health Services are providing free COVID tests
This winter the United States Department of Human and Health Services is providing households with free COVID tests. Each household can request up to four COVID tests and have them shipped for free.
Those who are interested in receiving a test can request them through the Department of Human and Health Services or by calling 800-232-0233.
The Department of Human and Health services share that the available test:
- Are rapid antigen at-home tests, not PCR
- Can be taken anywhere
- Give results within 30 minutes (no lab drop-off required)
- Work whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms
- Work whether or not you are up to date on your COVID-19 vaccines
- Are also referred to as self-tests or over-the-counter (OTC) tests
