San Francisco launches a pilot program guaranteeing transgenders $1,200 monthly income
San Francisco, California – The Guaranteed Income for Trans People, also known as “GIFT, will be a new pilot program to help San Francisco’s local trans community. First reported by KRON4 News, the program will be the first of its kind anywhere within the country, providing 18 months of guaranteed income and other services.
The applications for the program are being accepted between November 15th and December 15th, and only 55 participants will be accepted. The monthly income provided to participants can be spent wherever they deem fit.
