A.T.L. N.E.W.S. Launches National Series “Art, Trade & Lifestyle” Highlighting Changemakers Across America

Profiles of Visionaries Who Honor Art, Elevate Trade, and Embody Lifestyle

Profiles of Visionaries Who Honor Art, Elevate Trade, and Embody Lifestyle

A.T.L. N.E.W.S. is proud to launch Art, Trade & Lifestyle, a new yearlong series spotlighting people who move communities forward through creativity, craft, and the way they live. Each week in 2026, we’ll profile artists, builders, organizers, and visionaries whose work changes how we see our neighborhoods—and ourselves.

The series kicks off with “Radical Hope: Rahiem Shabazz Turns Outrage into Blueprint for Black Liberation,” exploring how the award-winning filmmaker and media activist uses storytelling as a tool for justice and transformation.

In the coming weeks, readers will meet a North Carolina playwright who channels her love of the Blue Ridge Mountains into plays that honor place, memory, and belonging; a metro Atlanta skating collective whose rhythm and choreography keep Southern skate culture alive; and many more voices from across the country whose stories live at the intersection of art, trade, and lifestyle.

Art, Trade & Lifestyle will also lay the groundwork for our upcoming community-voted Art, Trade & Lifestyle Awards, where readers will help recognize the people who best embody these three pillars of impact.

Follow the series at ATL.News as we honor the art, elevate the trade, and embody the lifestyle—one story at a time.
