Alleged terrorist attack leaves at least 10 dead
New Orleans, Louisiana – Many took to the streets of Downtown New Orleans to celebrate the NCAA semifinal football game between UGA and Notre Dame unaware that a danger lurked among them.
Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old American citizen, used a vehicle to runover several people along Burbon Street killing at least 10 and injuring many others. Members of the FBI investigating the matter are calling the attack an early morning attack an act of terrorism.
After Jabbar drove through the crowd, he exited the vehicle and began shooting at random people. Officers at the scene returned fire killing Jabbar. Reports are circulating that Jabbar was an American born citizen with Georgia and military ties. Investigators believe that Jabbar did not act alone in the attack.
