Atlanta, Georgia – As the trailer opens up we hear a darling soft voice of a young child say, “Every year for Christmas everyone wishes for that one gift that they cannot live without, but sometimes wishes only come true if you believe in Santa Claus.”

Filmmakers of the Atlanta produced film, “Santa Claus,” wants to know if you believe in Santa Claus?

Santa Claus is a short 3D animated film produced by the Atlanta based, 107 Films, a production company of Art, Trade & Lifestyle (aka the A.T.L.), the parent company of A.T.L. News. 107 Films is collaborating with the Lagos, Nigeria, animation studio, Raynova Studios.

Upset and no longer looking forward to the upcoming Christmas holiday, seven-year-old Desiree Stevens, loses her Christmas spirit after discovering that her older miliary career brother is being restationed for a second year in a row during the Christmas holiday. All Desiree wants for Christmas is to be with her brother, but does she believe in Santa Claus for it to even happen?

Inspired by the folklore of dandelion seeds that are often referred to as Santa Clauses, its said that if you catch “Santa Claus” and make a wish. Your wish would come true for Christmas, but that is if you only believe in Santa Claus.

Written, produced and directed by Miles J. Edwards, founder of the A.T.L., Edwards wanted to create holiday film that all families can enjoy and watch together. Original conceived as a life action short, Edwards decided to produced Santa Claus as a 3D animation after meeting, Favy Ijomah, of Raynova Studios in a Facebook for Black filmmakers. Edwards then decided to pursue the 3D animation path for the film to have a greater grasp among targeted viewers, and a much larger market by expanding further with toys, branded apparel, coloring books and more of the 3D animation creation.

107 Films, named after the popular East Atlanta/South DeKalb County MARTA bus route of 107 Glenwood that Edwards grew up riding in his community of Belvedere Park. Edwards collaborated together to use real life images of the Belvedere Park community and incorporated them into the film as the environment. Santa Claus will also be using the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, as the second location in the film.

Santa Claus is believed to be the first animation film to be independently produced in Atlanta and use the metro Atlanta community in its storytelling environment.

Currently still a work in progress, the first official trail to Santa Claus was released online on Facebook and was viewed 1,423 times from Thursday, December 5th to Thursday, December 12th. The full 10 minute short-film of Santa Claus will be done in February 2025 just in time for a slue of entries of various film festivals across the country and around the world before its November 2025 streaming release exclusively on the A.T.L.’s streaming channel A.T.L.
