The workforce of popular tech companies are facing layoffs

During the course of the pandemic, many companies benefited from a shutdown economy as many people were forced to stay home, indoors, and out of harm’s way. Many of these companies were tech companies that offered vital services to a restricted world community with very few options for public interaction.

Spotify, Google, Microsoft, Paypal, IBM, Amazon and Twitter have all been companies that have recently made cuts to their workforce. Each week, more and more companies have been announcing cuts of their own. CBS News has estimated that 60,000 jobs from various companies have been lost within Silicon Valley.
