On Wednesday former President Donald Trump announced that he had major news to share. On his very own social media platform, Truth Social, Trump shared, “AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO! I will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow. Thank you!”
The post shared the digital image of a superhero-looking Donald Trump donning a Superman physique.
Many speculated that Trump was preparing to introduce his running-mate for the upcoming presidential election, but it was nothing of anything close to it.
Today Trump announced the release of his own newly created NFT digital trading cards. For the cost of $99 each, the cards are a selection of heroic images of Trump as a firefighter, cowboy, astronaut, and more. On the official website for the digital cards, www.collecttrumpcards.com, it states, “For the first time ever, collect your own rare digital collectible Trading Card by President Trump. After word spread that Trump’s major announcement was just an introduction of a collection of digital trading cards of himself. Many outlets are calling the announcement dumb, scammy, and accusing Trump of “losing the plot.” Current President, Joe Biden, even came out and mocked Trump with his own major announcement.
