After making antisemitic comments during a Drink Champs podcast, Adidas has made the decision to drop Kanye West and end their partnership.
Adidas released the following statement, “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” the company said in a press release. “Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
Adidas joins a number of other companies that have ended their relationship with West: Balenciaga and his very own talent agency, CAA. West is also facing a potential $250 million lawsuit by the family of George Floyd for defamation.
